earth hour

so erm..did anyone observe it? my mom and i switched off the lights but then my dad said it's stupid and switched the living room light back on. then after a while my mom decided i shouldn't play computer in the dark so she switched the dining room light on for me. yea they were watching tv and i was playing dota (so difficult to play in the dark). we're only asked to switch off the lights and not other stuff right? haha. and the neighbour's lights were on too.

yea my neighbourhood quite fail.

..

went to kuantan to visit my grandfather's grave on the weekend. didn't have much time to study for my forensics exam today. the last like 17 out of 50 mcq questions were randomly coloured in without even having time to look at the questions. essay questions also cannot finish. haha. oh well, see how it goes.

i dunno what the hospital operators are doing. always take so long to answer the phone. and they keep thinking i'm on-call. 3 out of the 4 four weeks since my on-call, they thought i'm the pharmacist on call. what la.

my dad wants me to get an iphone instead of ipod touch. cannot decide if i should just get a htc. hm hm hm. u guys didn't buy any pda?

poor car

i've been having such bad luck with my grandma's car. or maybe actually the car's been having bad luck with me.

first i banged it and broke a tail-light when i was oncall. then on tuesday, my car wouldn't start when i wanted to go home from work. some people told me they saw my lights on the whole day so the car ran out of battery. but i didn't switch on any lights!!!! i guess i must have flicked something by accident. :( i had to call my mom to pick me up and she would have to come back at night with my dad to jump start the car coz i had to go out for my project discussion.

then it rained heavily that night so although my parents managed to start the car and drive it home, the next day i found the passenger side all flooded!!!! there was like an inch (or maybe less) of water on the floor of the passenger side, front and back. when i braked i could hear the water sloshing. so horrible. i wondered if the roof was leaking or something but my dad thought it was the air-cond leaking so today we took the car for the air-cond to be fixed and the air-cond guy said it was the air-cond which was leaking. what a coincidence that it suddenly leaked the night it was left out in the rain.

then when the air-cond guy shut the hood of the car, we noticed that it was scratched. someone went and scratched all around my car!!!!!!!!! wth!!!!! it's an old little proton wira with a broken tail-light. why go and scratch my car la!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg such bad luck. or does someone at the hospital hate me. :(((

spent almost 300 on the air-cond and now have to spend hundreds more to repaint the car. and also need to buy a new pair of tail-lights coz i can't just repair one coz they make different lights now. boohoo!

untitled

i forgot to mention that i reversed my grandma's car into the wall while i was rushing to the hospital when i was on-call. :( have to send it for repair before she comes back from kl. i'm thinking of buying a second-hand car. maybe honda or toyota.

i'm also thinking of buying a pda or a pda phone or an ipod touch.

do you think i can stay in kuching next year if i'm legally blind? coz i am. it's a handicap right?

when we came home just now we found a stupid bird flying about our staircase and my brother chased it downstairs but it was so stupid that it took ages to chase it outside. it shit on my staircase. in three places. and i had to clean it up. grr.

oh yea, i also forgot to mention i finally got my first paycheck last week. yay! :)

1st on-call

i just finished a week of being on-call. i'm free now! no more anxiously waiting for calls and doing stupid tdm on non-compliant patients. when on-call, we have to answer doctor's queries and run tests on blood samples to check drug levels (tdm). and because we prps are slaves, we are on-call while the frps are 2nd-call eventhough we are totally noob.

my week started off slow with only 2 queries from monday to friday and i thought i was so lucky to get this week. then the weekend came and i had a total of 11 tdms to do which took me 10 hours. but the stupid rule is that no matter how many hours on-call you do, you can only get maximum 8 hours time off. damn stupid whoever invented this rule. so unfair. and there were these drs who wasted my time by saying they were sending the sample but took ages to do it and one sample wasn't even taken at the correct time so i cannot calculate anything.

and there was this bloody rude doctor in a&e who really pissed me off. he was totally rude to everyone. i went there to collect a sample which was taking ages to be given to me. so i was just standing at the counter and he was there writing a prescription. he was convinced that the pharmacy would reject his prescription so the nurse asked him to call the pharmacy and ask, but he said it's not his job.
nurse (who got annoyed trying to layan him): there's a pharmacist here. why don't you ask her.
me (trying to be helpful eventhough i was stressed myself and didn't even know what's wrong with his lousy prescription): if you need a specialist's signature you can call him and ask him to promise to sign the prescription.
rude dr: it's not my job to call anyone. it's my job to see patients and prescribe. i cannot deal with this. if the pharmacy rejects the prescription, i don't care.
me (freaking annoyed but still trying to help): what's wrong with your prescription?
rude dr: *ignores me*
so i took the prescription from the patient but couldn't tell what was wrong with it so i just told the patient to go collect from the pharmacy. stupid dr. he think he's the only one on-call meh. i'm also on-call. i'm also stressed. people wasting my time taking ages to give me sample after requesting me to do tdm. at least i was polite and tried to be helpful. screw him.
