smoking cessation

gums, patches, lozenges, tablets, inhalers, sprays...or at least weaning.

you'll have to stop when you get cancer or copd anyway. might as well stop now before you actually get sick. you don't have to go cold turkey.

you hurt (and physically injured!) your best friends just because you're so dependent on this poison. don't let it control you la.

sleep

omg i woke up at 1.30 today coz i forgot to set my alarm last night. i usually don't like to get up before my alarm rings. if i wake up, i just make myself go back to sleep. so this morning i kept waking up and thinking why can't i sleep properly ar? alarm haven't ring, go back to sleep la. until i finally checked the time and it was 1.30pm!! wth. i slept for more than 12 hours. crazy. i was supposed to wake up at 10am and try to study. 3 hours wasted. wth.

what if we could just erase our memories of someone? what if we could get rid of all the hurt in one painless procedure?

cny eve

we went to tiger tiger for reunion dinner last night
camwhoring while waiting for food
trying to model our watches
a picture to show i'm wearing my birthday ear-rings since my ears are covered in all other photos
my starter. i ordered duck spring rolls but i think this is duck pancakes. our waiter was so blur he got so many things wrong. this was nice anyway. it's like peking duck.

my main dish. steak and tiger prawns. the steak was pretty tough.

our food was all crammed on the table coz the starters came at the same time as the main dishes. spicy tamarind tiger prawns with noodles at the top left, vegetable noodles on its right. they tasted similar, quite nice but apparently the taste gets too much. the chips came with the steak.

camwhoring in the bathroom. their sinks are shaped as tiger's paws and there were like 10 or more toilets in there.

they even had a straightener/curler thing which you can pay to use

so, good dinner. i got excited just looking at the menu. the food was ok, not so great but it was a nice dinner anyway. :)

panic

as usual i was doing my presentation at the last minute. in my defense, i did start earlier, i just took my own sweet time doing it. hehe. i always underestimate the amount of effort required. so presentation today, panicking yesterday. and i suddenly had a panic attack. like one minute i was just slightly stressed, and the next i had tears in my eyes. i never got so panicked before and it's just a stupid 10% presentation. i blame my hormones which have been screwed up this month - i had my period less than 3 weeks after i had my previous one, and i've been emo since then. grr. but i guess no one's interested in my period. haha.

anyway, thanks you guys for always helping me when i panic, eventhough it's my own fault. hehe. muaks!!

of fun and misfortune

last night we went to the ceilidh at eelynn's church. it was pretty fun. we were lost half the time coz we didn't know the steps but we still had a good time. and it was a workout too, especially the last dance where we were continuously swinging each other around.

here's a video of a dancing game we played. the band would stop occasionally and call out a position and those who are slow or get it wrong are out. there were 3 positions: horse where the guy goes down on all fours and the girl sits on his back, cavalier where the guy lifts the girl up, and knight where the guy gets down on one knee and the girl sits on his other knee. i'm near the stage, wearing black with a tall guy also wearing black. and there's a cute guy near the camera who wore his suit the whole time eventhough it was so hot (temperature-wise).

today, it finally snowed properly in glasgow, and we went skiing. what luck. we could've stayed and played with the snow but instead we went to the mountains and froze to death with no mood to play with the snow in the mountains. :(

so here's the snow at 6am. it was one inch thick but we had no time to play with it. boohoo!

at the ski resort. we were brought to the top where the wind was so bloody freaking cold my face froze to death. it so painful, especially when my hair whipped my face. the instructor spent like 2 hours teaching us to ski across the snow. then the wind was too strong and the visibility was bad so we had to go down. and i didn't get to ski downwards. :( we were freezing cold so we went back to the bus to eat our packed lunches and warm up but the bus was still cold. i really wanted to ski downwards but i was too cold and miserable to leave the bus eventhough we still had an hour left. sigh, damn sad. wasted.
