back home for the chinese new year. kuching airport has changed a lot. it kinda resembles klia on a smaller scale. most of it is still under construction though.
went for dinner at tsui hua lou just now. it was packed. the waiters were so busy we had to ask them several times for drinks. then food came slowly and in a haphazard order. the yee sang came halfway, followed by soup, dessert, and finally a mixed vege dish. i don't think i'm full...

had a burger for dinner by the poolside with naz, kah wei and renard last night. then we were bored so they came over. kah wei looked through the photos in my phone and stumbled upon one i took of the leech bite on my toe. he asked naz what it was. naz turned to phone upside down and saw something dirty.
she thought it looked like a picture of a naked person. after a fit of hysterics , and indignation on my part, kah wei decided to take a butt photo by folding his leg.

of fish food and bird poop
had my first taste of fish food last night. we were playing some game called 7-up and i messed up for the fourth time so i was punished to eat a few grains of the fish food we gave fish for his birthday. it's pretty tasteless but i thought i could taste the fish food smell i my mouth for a while after that. had fun last night. stayed up real late. kong fui serenaded us.
went for lunch with sidney, kevin and hazwan just now. just as we began eating, we felt tiny droplets of water falling on us. we decided to ignore it. a while later...splat! bird shit appeared on the table and splashed into poor kevin's soup. then another splat on hazwan's shirt sleeve. we quickly moved inside. now the question is..do birds pee??

cherie, let's go for a walk. said van with red eyes. so i followed her and naz for a walk. that led to the swimming pool.
let's sit down. said naz.
so i got ready to sit down. then van lowered herself into the pool. and i thought van just needed to relieve whatever was bothering her. but naz jumped into the pool too. and then i realised it was just them fulfilling their plan-to-jump-into-the-pool-spontaneously.

went to templer's(is it with or without the apostrophe?) with van, naz, gerardine, jian lun and ben lee on sunday. we hiked for about 30 minutes to get to our little barbeque spot and on the way, there was a treacherous slope and my blood got sucked by a leech.
those little monsters are so tiny you wouldn't suspect them at all. we didn't know they were leeches til ben told us. i was pretty freaked out when i saw a tiny black worm on my toe. after a little screaming, i managed to flick it off. then naz found a (relatively) huge bugger on her slipper but it didn't get her.
so we bbqed on stones in the water and i got fascinated by sticks(don't ask). then we hiked back down a little and played in the waterfall. which was pretty fun. even did a bit of rock climbing. a big achievement for a chicken like me. haha. then it was another long walk back down. van got leeched on too.
it was fun, except for all the walking and the leech attack. but would i go back again? hm..

after having dinner with the sem 1s last night, naz came over to my place to do some serious studying like
the night before.
but we got bored after some time so we ended up watching
silence becomes you which alvin lai had downloaded. word of advice: don't watch it. it's a strange, creepy movie with some parts so ridiculous we couldn't help laughing eventhough it was supposed to be tragic, or something. and the ending just leaves you feeling lost. the title reminds me of another movie, though.
death becomes her. i found it pretty creepy when i watched it last time, but i don't really remember. that was more than 10 years ago and i was very easily scared then. not that i enjoy horror movies now. but it's supposed to be some kind of comedy so it should be ok. hm..don't know where i'm going with this..
anyway, lunch and foosball later. then another boring, pointless malaysian studies class. for two hours and fifteen minutes!!! the lecturer spent almost 2 hours yesterday talking crap. it's quite amazing. i need some of her skill.
time flies when you're having fun
semester 2 has come and gone in the blink of an eye. try as we might to hang on to that glorious semester, we must face the reality that it is gone. with sem 3 starting tomorrow, allow me to reminisce about the highlights of a wonderful sem...
- orientated our first batch of juniors.
- got addicted to dota. hm, not really a good thing, but nevermind.
- we were champion for the imu cup foosball competition!
- pharmacy came in 3rd place overall for imu cup.
- actually the whole of imu cup was pretty fun.
- made a bunch of great medic friends.
- went karaoke-ing for the first time and discovered that kong fui not only resembles leehom, but can also sing pretty well!
-my apartment has internet connection!
- had a good time on new year's eve with wonderful pharmers. thanks van, for letting me sleep over until really late. sorry for leaving so blur and sleepy that i forgot to even put your cushion back. hehe.
