holiday
my holiday chores include sweeping the floor, and preparing the vegetables and cooking the rice for dinner. my mom and sister do the cooking and the rest of the preparation. i like to take my time peeling the garlic carefully without smashing it barbarically, and chopping it up really fine coz i have nothing better to do. of course, my fingers inevitably smell of garlic for a few days. did you know that the bigger garlic cloves are easier to peel than the small ones? the skin sticks to the small ones more. and did you know that lettuces are very hard to peel? their leaves are all stuck together, layer upon layer.
i still suck at dota..i absolutely cannot use melee heroes no matter how good they supposedly are. i can't kill heroes!! :(
i'll be going to australia from november 30th to december 12th. actually, i'll be in kl on transit on those two actual dates but i'll be in australia in between. it'll be the first time i go out of malaysia, excluding singapore which was at least 10 years ago, i think. will be going to sydney, canberra and brisbane and it will include long road trips - my dad will be renting a car.
oh yea, i went to dr yii again last week and got a chest x-ray but he couldn't find anything wrong with my lungs so he just gave me stronger medicine. so my cough got better for a while but now it's back again. sucks..
and here's a tribute to vanessa ting ching ching on her request. (although it will go nowhere hear 300 words) van's a hot pharm chick who likes to dance and shop. this asthmatic kuchingite started the trend of walking around barefooted. she likes flowery skirts, dangly earrings, loose night gowns, and anything pretty. she walks far ahead of people when we are shopping or going to eat, lost in her own world. van takes foochowness to a whole new level by eating food from the floor and licking taufufa from the table. there will never be a dull moment with van around coz she's nuts. paul thinks i'm crazy, but van is crazier. in a good way of course. she'll ask you to dare her to eat insects and she falls off library chairs with loud thuds just coz she feels like it. she seduces both guys and girls. naz is constantly being seduced by her and it seems ee lynn is falling into her trap too. i have so far remained unscathed. she loves reading, which explains her extensive vocabulary. another big love of her life is foosball. buy her a foosball table and it'll make both of us happy. she likes listening to romantic oldies and tall cute guys singing. don't be fooled by her lady-like demeanor. she's an expert lizard catcher. if you're sitting down and she suddenly jumps up and starts to curse, just stay where you are and don't get in the way of a professional. she has been known to throw lizards off balconies. i've also heard that she's good at killing spiders. ok, 249 words. i don't think i've left anything out. happy birthday van!!!

i went to the gym today. haha. no, seriously. i spent 2 minutes trying to find the axn channel(pardon me coz i don't have astro) on the tv in the gym but it wasn't in subscription so i gave up and switched it back to aspn and used the treadmill for 30 minutes while watching boring crap. then i moved on to a few other gym equipment for a while. know what i want for my birthday? a treadmill. i always wanted one. yea. so in case you haven't gotten me a birthday present and don't know what to get me...well, now you know what to do. :)

post exam fun
so. the exam was hard. really really difficult. but i'm just going to forget about it until the results come out. crap. i forgot to ask yun to get my results for me. hopefully, imu will email it to me this time. otherwise my mom will be on my case again until i get it..
emily rose wasn't that scary. yea, i spent half of the movie with my head half-turned sideways..but i watched it all except when her face got really scary at one point. which is a big improvement from when i watched the ring. but of course it helped that i'd already watched the trailer and making of emily rose before actually watching the movie. hehe. went over to club 98(apartment c-9-8) with naz after dinner. hung around til a little after 12 when we led yun to the vista c pool intending to throw her in. but we sang happy birthday too loudly and the guards chased us away. so we moved to the vista b pool and quietly threw her in. fish slipped and fell in first while trying to get her into the pool. haha. then the evil kevin ng boon han tricked me to take my handphone away from me so i was the next one to go in. he keeps tricking and i still keep believing him. in the end everyone went into the pool except florence and zhin(dunno how to spell her name), and paul who ran away with his camera. even naz got thrown in by kevin. haha
harry potter was disappointing. too much was either cut out or changed. the movie jumped from one scene to another without much explanation and the characters were severely underdeveloped. if u haven't read the book, you'll probably be a bit lost. i don't like dumbledore coz he's fierce and useless unlike the calm and wise character in the book. and cedric's not cute. viktor krum looks better than him. cedric's not nice enough either.
went to red box karaoke to celebrate quah jing xian's 18th birthday on friday. we discovered that kong fui's a pretty good singer. and he looks like leehom. leehom power!!! haha. later we went to breakers for foosball after dinner. then poor alvin got grounded on his mom on his birthday for going home at 12 instead of 10 like he said he would..
fish and sidney came over last night intending to go to mamak with me and yun but then we were all too lazy to walk so they came in and ate cookie crisps instead. poor alvin wanted to come too but after stealing his mom's mazda when she was sleeping, he realised that there was no petrol and he only had rm8. hehe.
air asia sucks. van and i arrived at klia at 12.15 and checked in for our 1.10 flight to find that they'd changed the flight to 12.25
without telling us. so we couldn't wait for jian lun who was parking his car - he drove us there and we were supposed to meet him at mcdonald's. van and i rushed to gate a10 and discovered that the

it's no fun waiting one hour for your food to arrive while watching people who ordered later than you get their food. my sweet and sour fish never came even after i asked the waiter three times. so after naz and i got tired of waiting in food ave, we went to watch the sem1s foos for a while before we went to the rooftop for lunch. at 2pm.
exam on wednesday! one hour and we're free!! our current post-exam plans include emily rose(i hope it won't be a waste of my money. the last time i watched a horror movie in the cinema, i spent most of the time with my head down and my ears covered, singing nursery rhymes to block out the scary sound effects) on wednesday and harry potter on thursday.
going back to kuching again on sunday.
re-reading my module notes now. sigh..
bored
i'm falling asleep..thus this visit to the computer lab..
yesterday morning, i realised that i forgot to bring my contacts back to kl. luckily i have two boxes of contacts in kl. so i opened a new pair of contacts and decided i would keep my contacts in the cases they came from. yea, i'm vain. my glasses are too thick and ugly to be worn all the time. i wouldn't mind so much if the lenses were thinner. anyway, last night, i took off my contacts, put them in their original cases(the kind where you peel off the top to open it, in case you don't know how contacts are packaged) and put my vander on top to keep them closed. then i decided it probably isn't very sterile that way so i messaged van for a proper contacts case. going to get it from her today. hehe.
oh, i got the results of my blood test. my blood type is A+, i have hepatitis a antibodies, and my cholesterol level is alright. yay!
of waiting and playing
came back to kl on sunday. we arrived at our apartment to find that the lady changed the padlock without telling us. so alvin (lai) had to look through his messages to find her number but didn't know which one was from her so he ended up calling the landlord who gave him her number. turned out alvin actually did have her number, just wasn't sure the message was from her. then alvin called her and we waited outside for more than half an hour for her to come back. vassan(he lives on the same floor) came home and went out again and we were still standing there.
while waiting, i decided to look for club 98 from the window in front of the elevators. so i counted the floors and found their balcony then asked yun to tell fish to go to the balcony to confirm that i found the right one. fish came out and we started waving, but he didn't see us. then the lady came home and let us in. i asked yun to ask fish to go to his balcony again and look for our apartment. finally, fish saw us and waved back. then he got a sleepy sidney to come wave(sleepily) at us too. haha.
went dotaing with the sems ones yesterday. i don't suck so much anymore. wahahahah. i managed to kill a few ppl and died only a few times. except the last game in which i got stupid leshrac the malicious and died 13 or 14 times and had only one kill. haha. but i guess they gave me face. at least fish did. and quah jing xian and chian yong were helping me. hehe. thanks.
back to ammu's bloody(haha) notes now..

went to chef's special for dinner. the waiter serving us recognized my dad coz he's passed letters to my dad before. turns out the waiter is our postman. had a vegetable-less dinner coz they had no bidin but the waiter didn't know about it. then we ordered kangkung but they didn't have it either so we just asked for the bill...
i lost 1kg. damn. i really must eat faster.
going back to kl tomorrow afternoon. i'm leaving my laptop at home so i don't play dota when i'm supposed to be studying. and also bcoz i'm to lazy to lug my laptop back to kl for 2 weeks. must start studying hard coz i've only read 7 pages of ammu's notes since i came back. sigh.
ok, update
watched chicken little the other night. with a cinema full of kids. you could hear them laughing throughout the movie. chicken little was..okk. not worth watching in a cinema though. fish was one of the main characters, running around with a bowl of water over his head. haha. ffk-ed aaron again coz we went to have a drink after the movie. hehe. but at least he was at his friend's house. i think he's given up on us though.
my mom told me that my sister has been wearing my clothes without permission while i was gone. so now i wear her clothes without permission too. haha. her new favourite word is nasty. nasty, with the 'a' pronounced as in 'cat'. that's nasty. you're nasty. nasty nasty nasty..
went to see dr yii yesterday coz my cough got worse. saw steph voon there but she didn't see me coz she was in a hurry to leave. surprisingly, he only charged me rm 15 for antibiotics, 20 loratidine pills, and two bottles of cough syrup(i asked for extra medicine coz i'm going back to kl). i wonder if it's bcoz i'm from imu. he seemed quite happy when i told him i'm studying in imu. he patted me on my knee and my back. he probably thought i was a med student. hehe.

this morning, i had my blood tested for hepatitis a and cholesterol. by this time next week, i'll finally know my blood type. hehe. oh, it costs rm5 more to test for blood type. sheesh.
my brother told me my sister has been giving him some 'good advice': put a huge rock on the ground then climb up onto the roof. jump down headfirst, aiming for the rock. don't worry, if you miss, just go back up and try again. perseverance is the key. eventually, you will die. lol. she keeps telling him to go kill himself. shows what a great sister she is. on a more serious note, the sarawak club librarian told my sis that some guy jumped down from the civic center tower this morning and broke his neck...
been watching naruto coz my bro forces me to. he goes on and on about the characters and keeps asking me when i'm going to watch the next episode.
going for dinner with friends tonight at a place called bla bla bla. no seriously, that's the name. i was blur for a second when paul told me. hehe. never been there before. i hope the food's good. and not too expensive.
