driving for dummies
i remember the first time i drove after i got my license...it was my grandma's car..i was reversing out of the driveway without looking carefully....n then i banged the gate. so my grandma's wira was scratched n dented. i suppose that explains y she doesn't trust my driving skills. anyway, nth happened the next few times i drove. then one day i was driving my mom's car n i was turning into the driveway. n i scratched it on the gate. but my mom wanted to change its color anyway. hehe. i haven't had any other accidents so far tho. touch wood.
my dad claims dat i purposely drive over every hole in the road. of course that's not true. i just don't really try to avoid them. n they alwez seem to be strategically located so that i have to go over them. he also claims i purposely dirty his car. dat's not true either. the puddle of water n it's tendency to splash just didn't register in my...(erm, which part of the brain??)....consciousness. after all, i have to concentrate on driving.
one night, i was going to pick paul up. i din know where exactly his house was so i was going kinda fast. when i saw him standing outside his house, i immediately braked. it was pretty loud. luckily there were no cars behind me or there wud've been a huge accident. oops. hehe. then one day, there were these two girls who wanted to cross the road, so being the nice kindly person i am, i slowed down for them to cross. in fact, i practically stopped the car rite in front of them. but they seemed uncertain whether or not to cross n didn't move, so i drove on. my mom scolded me for letting them think they cud cross n then suddenly driving again. but it's not my fault they didn't get it rite? lol. another time, apparently there was a blind man who stuck out his hand coz he wanted to cross the road. i drove rite past him. not on purpose! i really din see him! hehe.
n i'm still not good at parking. yesterday, i tried to reverse park like we learnt from the drving course. i failed n i was blocking the whole lane. so my mom told me to move on n find another parking spot.
does no1 else have trouble with driving? haha. maybe i'm jinxed with cars. that cud explain y i'm not good at crossing roads either...

khai yong, i have wax in my hair now. haha. the hairdresser put lots n told me not to wash my hair for 3 days to let the curls set, or smth. i sat there for a few hours smelling sulfur or wtvr horrible smelling chemical it is they use to break n reform hydrogen bonds; or wtvr it is that happens when hair is permed.
i have yet to connect the modem to my laptop so i'm stuck using my home computer with which i see that the boxes r overlapping. my dad changed the modem again so i have to install the program again which takes a very long time so i'm lazy to do it.
my sis mite have been selected for national service. she says our comp is too slow for the webpage to load so she can't check herself. she asked her fren to help her check n he said she was selected. she trusts him but i wonder if he's pulling her leg. she doesn't mind going tho. if i were chosen i wud have absolutely hated it, being lazy n all. hehe
i drove last nite. i was reversing out of my parking spot n there was a car parked behind so i had a little trouble getting out. my grandma was so worried i wud hit the car that she ripped some handle off. the one above the door. she shud have more faith in me. haah

van n i came back on tuesday. our flight was delayed for more than 2 hours. we were waiting in line to check in when the man in front started talking really loudly asking if he cud check-in for his wife with her ic number coz she had wandered off after waiting for 2 hours n he couldn't reach her, but they din want to let him. so i told van let's move to the next line. then he started saying the air asia ppl were stupid n stuff..luckily we moved. hehe.
been lazing around at home these few days. one bad thing about being back is that i have to wash the dishes every nite. so much for being treated like the guest of honour. oh, n there's also no 8tv in sarawak. stupid stupid 8tv. y don they come here??!! now i'll be missing one tree hill and arrested development. :(
collected my new ic yesterday. the lighting in my picture is so bright that only my eyes n mouth can be seen clearly. but at least i'm smiling. hehe. i looked pretty grumpy in my old ic.
i'm going to perm my hair tomoro. hope it turns out ok...

rite after yesterday's horrible physio exam, i went looking for an apartment with yun. we called so many ppl to look at their places n i used abt 17 dollars of credit on my phone. ouch. also walked until my feet hurt but we cudn't find a suitable place. then keat seong called yun n asked her if she wanted to watch mr n mrs smith with some frens. since they agreed to watch the 4pm movie, we decided to join them. then it turned out that the movie was at 4.30 n as usual it started late. gatsby(if u're happy n u know it clap ur hair) has a new ad. it's equally lame with some guy singing some unintelligible song but i think the first one was better. haha. mr n mrs smith was a nice movie to watch but it din really make sense. it ended at 6.40 so i bought a double cheeseburger n ate it on the way back on the train. i was in a rush coz i was sposed to go out with van, naz n jessyca at 8. i made it home at 7.30 n had a quick shower but rinoa n her fren were late picking us up anyway coz there was a jam.
still tired now. lazy to blog...
exams!
maths n foundation chem are over. maths was hard but passable. chem was even more difficult but i think i passed it too. haha. bear in mind that the passing mark is 40 n we only need to pass. i MUST study harder next semester. luckily 3 out of my 4 papers this sem r MCQs. tomoro's an off day. two more papers on thursday n friday. hopefully i'll be free to dota on friday. hehe. yun, let me know wad time u're coming.
today, naz, van, kah wei n i spent 3+ hours in the library studying practically nth. we were discussing other more interesting topics related to reproduction. boris, the hot medic guy who loves hot pharm girls, even came n explained some things to us from the medical point of view. he has some great pick-up lines too. haha. n kah wei wins the best actor award for his role in 'the attack of the killer teddy bear', starring himself n a penknife-wielding teddy bear.
when i got home, i spent another half hour not studying...watching stupid flash animations. here are a few:

today our water was cut. i was all ready to shower when i discovered we had no water. van called kok chung n he sed he forgot to pay the water bill. so we decided to have our showers at jin werne's place n borrow water to cook rice as well. when we got back to our apartment, we found out our neighbours had no water too due to some stupid water rationing. rarr.
pages 358 n 359 of vander's human physiology r hard to study. i have to cover the pictures of goiter n bulging eyes. ick! dat's y i'm not studying med. haha
hari gawai
yesterday was hari gawai, a public holiday in sarawak. my dad cooked laksa for the family coz there was some prawn paste left over from sending some to my uncle(whom i have never met before) in canada. my mom said it was kinda tasteless tho. haha. hope he gets enough practice to cook me a nice bowl when i get back. hehe.
i can't wait to go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
