mugdock park

last night, van and ee lynn's church had a barbeque at mugdock country park. van, amir, kah wei and i took a train to milngavie (pronounced milgai) where some church people picked us up and brought us to the park where one of them worked as a park ranger. there were already people barbequing when we got there. all we had to do was assemble our buns and whatever we wanted on it, and queue up for the cooks to give us the patty or sausage. after 2 burgers, kah wei asked me to go explore with him. we saw ducks and really cute ducklings at the pond but i didn't get any pictures of that.

then we went up pheasant's walk (or path or something) where kah wei made a lame joke about seeing farmers. haha. we didn't see any peasants or pheasants there. but we saw this small path leading to this cool looking clearing so we went off the main path to explore. (some pictures are blur. dunno if my camera lousy or my skills so cacat. hehe)
foot prints! gasp. wild boar?! haha nolah. just human footprints. i've been watching lost.

a camp site!

we saw what we thought were clovers and tried to find a four leaf clover but couldn't find any.

then we found an even smaller path which led to another clearing which kah wei convinced me to follow him into.

there was a cool-looking bunch of trees which looked like tentacles sticking out.
a bigger camp site!

there was a random postbox-like thingy on one of the trees

dew on the grass

kah wei noticed some white stuff on some grass. at first he wondered if people had sex there. haha. upon closer inspection it had little bubbles like saliva.

kah wei poked it with a stick and found a little insect inside which i assume is an aphid, though i actually don't know. i couldn't seem to focus on it even though i used macro mode. it's that little yellowish dot.

we found bluebells and kah wei plucked one stalk for van

we wandered out of the jungle and into the victorian walled garden

kah wei peeped at a lady showering. haha.

dew which looked like diamonds on a plant

kah wei was excited to find a dandelion

he blew it and i was lagging but i got some of it falling down

we went back to the barbeque area but most people had gone off to play softball or something elsewhere. we couldn't find the other two so we played in the playground. there was a life-sized snake and ladders game on the ground

with a die for playing

totem pole

hedgehog!

we finally left at around 10.15 but it felt like it was only around 7 coz the sun was just setting. crazy summer sun. luckily the weather was good and reasonably warm yesterday. :)
