medieval festival
yesterday we took a train to linlithgow for a medieval festival thingy. 8 pounds for entry into the castle.the first thing we saw was this guy talking about armor and putting it on piece by piece with the help of his squire
in full armor
me and naz in the great hall with a huge fireplace behind
4 knights going to joust
first they warm up by trying to hit the shield of the wooden man. then they go at each other.
a blue knight
they put a squire in a sack for 'punishment'
and dragged her around the field
the red knights
the blue knights won
we all climbed up the highest tower
but it was so high and windy..
that me and naz chickened out before the last flight of stairs
swordfight!
on the slope behind the castle
they decided to climb a tree. and that's a french guy in the middle. his name is sylvain, pronounced sevaun.
and we just came back in from another fire alarm. some potatoes caught fire in an oven. the whole batch was standing out in the cold again and got a warning that we might get fined if there's another fire in our apartments. the first one was caused by burning butter.
