done with opd, for now
at first we were not allowed to wear a mask unless we were sick coz they didn't want to frighten the patients. then suddenly on thursday we had to wear masks. sheesh. if some patient had h1n1 we would all be infected by now already. suddenly make us wear mask. btw, the green side faces out. the folds are supposed to face downwards coz that's the direction we breathe.anyway my 8 week posting in opd is finally over. everyone gets sick during opd but i thought i could get away healthily until i developed a sorethroat at the end of my 7th week. i seldom get sore throats so i think it's due to talking to the patients all the time. i've probably never talked so much before. haha. but i'm lucky coz there were very few patients during the time i was there due to h1n1. the patients are getting more again but luckily i'm escaping. hehe. and i also only had to tolerate 2 days of wearing mask. wearing a mask is no fun. you have to smell your own bad breath. and once, i burped and it was awful. haha.
i'm doing clinicals next. i start ccu (cardiac care unit) tomorrow and i'm quite unprepared. *fingers crossed*

woots! i have plenty of good memories being in the CCU! hahaha at least its a new building and u get plenty of (freezing) aircond! ;)

haha i think u mean ctw leh. ccu is in the old building and it has only 5 beds with one specialist n one mo. i don think they even need a pharmacist there. hehe.
