for chinese new year, my family went to singapore for 4 days. we went through johor coz kuching-singapore flights are at night and it would be a waste to arrive there and just go to sleep in the hotel.

we crossed selat tebrau on the johor-singapore causeway and these are the water pipes supplying singapore with water from malaysia

the singapore immigration checkpoint. the way to singapore was smooth but there was a jam from singapore going to johor coz malaysian immigration is just so efficient.

we went shopping a bit then we went to the night safari where there was a performance by sarawakian natives. haha. no animal pictures coz it was too dark and flash photography was not allowed.

the next day we took the cable car to sentosa and passed two massive cruise ships

we sat on the skyride which is like ski-lifts

heading down to the light and water show at the kampung houses down there
waiting for the show to start

it's called songs of the sea and it's quite nice except for the lame storyline

went shopping again the next day even though most shops were closed and then we went to chinatown at night

and when we went home and there was a lion dance at the changi airport
