mugdock park

last night, van and ee lynn's church had a barbeque at mugdock country park. van, amir, kah wei and i took a train to milngavie (pronounced milgai) where some church people picked us up and brought us to the park where one of them worked as a park ranger. there were already people barbequing when we got there. all we had to do was assemble our buns and whatever we wanted on it, and queue up for the cooks to give us the patty or sausage. after 2 burgers, kah wei asked me to go explore with him. we saw ducks and really cute ducklings at the pond but i didn't get any pictures of that.

then we went up pheasant's walk (or path or something) where kah wei made a lame joke about seeing farmers. haha. we didn't see any peasants or pheasants there. but we saw this small path leading to this cool looking clearing so we went off the main path to explore. (some pictures are blur. dunno if my camera lousy or my skills so cacat. hehe)
foot prints! gasp. wild boar?! haha nolah. just human footprints. i've been watching lost.

a camp site!

we saw what we thought were clovers and tried to find a four leaf clover but couldn't find any.

then we found an even smaller path which led to another clearing which kah wei convinced me to follow him into.

there was a cool-looking bunch of trees which looked like tentacles sticking out.
a bigger camp site!

there was a random postbox-like thingy on one of the trees

dew on the grass

kah wei noticed some white stuff on some grass. at first he wondered if people had sex there. haha. upon closer inspection it had little bubbles like saliva.

kah wei poked it with a stick and found a little insect inside which i assume is an aphid, though i actually don't know. i couldn't seem to focus on it even though i used macro mode. it's that little yellowish dot.

we found bluebells and kah wei plucked one stalk for van

we wandered out of the jungle and into the victorian walled garden

kah wei peeped at a lady showering. haha.

dew which looked like diamonds on a plant

kah wei was excited to find a dandelion

he blew it and i was lagging but i got some of it falling down

we went back to the barbeque area but most people had gone off to play softball or something elsewhere. we couldn't find the other two so we played in the playground. there was a life-sized snake and ladders game on the ground

with a die for playing

totem pole

hedgehog!

we finally left at around 10.15 but it felt like it was only around 7 coz the sun was just setting. crazy summer sun. luckily the weather was good and reasonably warm yesterday. :)

things i did during the exam period that you really don't need to know about

but go ahead and read if you really have nothing better to do.

i found a white hair. the root was white (left) then it was brown and the end was black (right). means it started out black then somewhere along the way didn't have enough nutrients or something and decided to turn white. noooo!

about a month ago, i cut my finger on the thin, sharp, little bone that is attached to the drumstick. the cut healed, but one part got inflammed and didn't go away for a few weeks.
then the night before my final exam, i noticed there was something that looked like a scab. but it also looked like there was something stuck under my skin. so after some pulling and squeezing, i finally managed to push out a tiny piece of what i believe to be chicken bone! a tiny splinter of the bacteria-infested bone (which i have always found to be annoying and pointless) had been lodged under my skin, causing the inflammation.

and here's my finger with a hole in it.

the end of my pointless post. you just wasted 2 minutes of your life if you read it. :)

rant

exams are finally over. i didn't put in my best effort, i know. and yet i'm still hoping to get a credit/merit (whatever you call it). my laziness is astounding. i didn't put much effort into my research thesis eventhough it carries so many marks. my desire to get a credit cannot even motivate me to study harder. i think i started slacking after sem 1. my grades just went down from there. and after 3 years of letting my brain rot, i am not able to make it work again. my laziness has consumed me. i've just devolved into one lazy pathetic antisocial blob of mass.

night after exams, people are out watching the man u-chelsea match and doing stuff. eelynn's watching it with marco. van's having a dinner with her bible study people in the dining room. didn't want to join them coz i don't know them and i don't know christianity. naz, j1, etc are at a pub watching the match and drinking beer with some local batchmates. didn't want to join them coz i'm not interested in beer and who knows how long they will sit there and i think they also want to go clubbing after.

i am antisocial. because i am a boring person with no substance, and i have nothing to talk about with people. because i feel self-conscious and awkward when i have nothing to talk about so i avoid social events with people i'm not close to. because don't like activities like drinking (well i don't mind a bit but i don't want to get drunk), partying and clubbing. because i am lazy to go out, lazy to talk. because i have gotten used to being alone in my room and i get grouchy when i'm made to do things i don't want to. i think glasgow is bad for me. i don't think i was this antisocial before.

i wonder what will happen to me back in kuching. my friends are in other states and other countries. i barely know anyone in kuching anymore. because i was so quiet back in school. because i am boring and shy and self-conscious and substanceless. sigh. i'm going back to a stupid job, probably in stupid places. i'm not interested in anything. i have no goals, no ambitions. 21+ years of pointless existence.

yes, i am pms-ing. house got me sobbing. i'm gonna watch how i met your mother now.

finals

hm..haven't updated for more than a week.

today at the pharm care exam, teoh kah wei was isolated at the back of the class. we were all sitting in rows but he was seated all by himself at a lone desk at the back of the hall surrounded by all the bags. i guess they heard rumours that he's smelly. lol. damn funny when i saw him sitting there. then i guess the supervisor decided he wasn't as smelly as the rumours said so his desk was moved to join the last row. hahaha. i caught his eye and laughed at him. poor kah wei. so funny. i still laugh when i think about it. :D

and kah wei taught van this. using your scientific calculator, type: (.)A(.)
then press the left replay button (arrow pointing backwards) 4 times. what does it look like? haha. (hint: kah wei is hamsap)

4 exams down, last one on wednesday. must pass!! must get credit! (please please please please please)
